Comparent, LLC (“Comparent”, “us”, “our”, and “we”) respects your privacy and is committed to honoring and protecting your personal information. 1. What information do we collect?

2. Why do we collect, store, and process your information?

  • Provide you with quotes for our services and services of our clients and vendors;

    o  For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Affiliated Entity” means an organization that directly or indirectly controls another entity, or is directly or indirectly controlled by another entity, or which is under common control with another entity;

  • Provide data to our affiliates, clients, partners, and Website visitors;

  • Personalize your access to and experience on the Website;

  • Analyze errors and improve the operation of the Website;

  • Prepare statistics about the use of the Website;

  • Present offers that may be of interest to you; and

5. How We Protect Your Information. Comparent has put technical and organizational safeguards in place to help prevent loss of or unauthorized access to the information we collect. Comparent uses Hubspot, Inc. to collect and process data provided to us through the Website. Information on Hubspot, Inc.’s data security measures can be found here. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Comparent does not guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

6. When and How We Share Your Information with Others. Comparent may share information you provide to us for the following purposes:

  • Where you have given your express consent;

  • When Comparent determines it needs to provide your information to our Affiliated Entities, vendor partners (e.g., Hubspot, Inc.; Google, LLC; Microsoft Corporation; Facebook, Inc.; Twitter, Inc.; LinkedIn Corporation), clients, or Website visitors in order to provide information, products, or services to you or the Affiliated Entity, vendor partners, clients, or Website visitors on our behalf. In addition, Information in your user profile, personal information that we obtain, and content you post on the Website (e.g., reviews) may be shared with a third party, such as Knorex Inc., that provide digital advertising and marketing products and solutions powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.

  • When you submit a review to Comparent, the content of your review, including your name (unless the review is anonymous), title, company, and other information you provide, may be displayed on the Website and in search engine results and may be shared directly with the company you reviewed, their competitors, and potential customers.

  • To set up your account, fulfill your requests, and provide customized content to you;

  • To communicate with you through email, telephone, notices posted on the Website, and other means available to us.

  • To create, tailor, deliver and study the effectiveness of advertising and promotional material both on and off of the Website, as well as for analytics (including as described in the Cookies section above);
    • We partner with Microsoft Clarity in order to help us understand how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising.  We may use the data and results of the analysis in order to enhance your experience on our Website or the experience of users in the aggregate.     • We may use third-party analytics tools to collect information about the use of our Website and services. Analytics tools collect information such as how often Users visit our Website, what pages Users visit when Users visit our Website, and the other websites they accessed prior to accessing our Website. We use the information we gather from analytics to improve our Website and services. Analytics tools collect information such as the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit our Website, but do not collect personal information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of analytics with personal information. Although our analytics tools may plant a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit our Website, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but our analytics tools. In the event that we use Google’sGoogle Analytics, then Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our Website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.   • To conduct a transaction between you and us, we may share your personal information with a third- party payment processor such as Stripe ("Payment Processor") to process your payments to us.   • To improve the Website and the services offered thereon and to research and develop innovative features and new services;

  • To provide feedback to businesses listed on the Website; and

  • If part or all the ownership of Comparent is sold or transferred, your information may be transferred to the new owner; or

  • When disclosure is required by law, to investigate, prevent, or report unlawful or harmful activities, or violations of our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of personnel of Comparent, or members of the public.

Comparent may anonymize and/or de-identify information collected through the Website or via other means so that the information no longer relates to you. Where we have appropriately anonymized and/or de-identified information so that it no longer identifies you personally, our use and disclosure of such information is not subject to this Privacy Policy and may be used and disclosed to others without restriction.

7. How long do we keep your information? We may keep your information on file for the maximum period allowed by law, or indefinitely if there is no such period. If you are in the EU or the UK, you have a right to, among other things, request that we delete your personal data.

8. Children. Our Website and services are not directed to children, and you may not use our services if you are under the age of 18 years old. You must also be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country.

9. International Users.

9.1 U.S. Servers. This Website is hosted on web servers in the United States. If you are accessing the Website from a non-U.S. location, your provision of personal information or other access to our Website constitutes your transfer of such data to the United States, a jurisdiction that may not provide a level of data protection equivalent to the laws in your home country.

11. Links to Other Websites. This Website may contain links to websites that are not controlled by Comparent (“Linked Websites”). Comparent accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the content or policies of Linked Websites. Your use of Linked Websites is at your own risk and subject to the policies of the Linked Websites.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is subject to occasional revision, and if we make any substantial changes, we may notify you by sending you an e-mail to the last e-mail address you provided to us (if any), and/or by prominently posting notice of the changes on our Website. You are responsible for providing us with your most current e-mail address. In the event that the last e-mail address that you have provided us is not valid, or for any reason is not capable of delivering to you the notice described above, our dispatch of the e-mail containing such notice will nonetheless constitute effective notice of the changes described in the notice. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective upon the earlier of thirty (30) calendar days following our dispatch of an e-mail notice to you (if applicable) or thirty (30) calendar days following our posting of notice of the changes on our Website.
